Jesus said, “The light of the body is the eye. If therefore thy eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” What does he mean? How can we have a single eye when a human being has two physical eyes? And, what of this light? What light is Jesus talking about?

I propose to you that Jesus was talking about what happens when a person experiences enlightenment or Oneness in the mind’s eye. This Experience is also known in Christianity as mystical union with God. It can happen either spontaneously (suddenly and without warning) or as a result of living the path of love, that includes spiritual practices, especially meditation.

The single eye that Jesus is referring to is known as the eye of the Soul, also known as the spiritual eye or the mind’s eye. It is located at the point between the eyebrows of each human being, and it is the single eye that sees the wonders within your being. The mind has the ability to see within itself using the single eye. To access the single eye, just close your physical eyes, and lift them gently into the brow between the eyebrows. Presto! You’re there. You are within your being.

Focusing into the mind’s eye is the beginning of meditation, and as one’s meditation deepens, a powerful focus can be built that will reveal the inner light within your mind to your conscious awareness.

This inner light is the light Jesus was referring to in his statement. It is the light in the single eye that provides proof of God’s existence within the human being. This light can present itself in different colors that are similar to the colors of the rainbow. In my awakening, I experienced the light within as a perfect circle of white light with a navy blue background. This light flooded my entire being. Along with the experience of light come waves of ecstasy that can only be described as bliss. You might say, light and bliss are like inseparable partners. In bliss, a person experiences unconditional love, which is a total acceptance of who you are in spite of any human frailties.

The single eye is like a window to the light within. It is the vision center in the human being, and here a person will see visions. It is an energy vortex, a part of the lifeforce energy system of the human being. If is full of consciousness and is a doorway to the infinite. Within its infinite space, you will find a peace that surpasses all understanding.

My Message Is NOT a New Religion

The following text is published in my book that is copyrighted. No part of this text may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without written permission from the author.

The universality of Oneness is found in all religions and mystic traditions of the East and West. Every major religion in the world was formed around an enlightened leader who experienced a profound awakening of Oneness. Saints, sages, and mystics in all periods of history proclaim that everybody can know this sublime relationship because our origin is Divine.

An experience of Oneness is the same as what the Christian mystics call “union with God” or mystical union. Other religions have different names for it. Hinduism calls it Samadhi. Buddhism calls it nirvana. It refers to the same experience: a transcendent state of bliss, happiness, joy, harmony, blessedness. It verifies the fact to the individual that an unmistakable Presence or Benevolent Power exists within one’s consciousness.

In his magnum opus book, ''Cosmic Consciousness,'' Canadian doctor Richard Maurice Bucke, M.D., published in 1901 a study he conducted into the spiritual illumination of forty-nine individuals in history who exhibited what he calls the Cosmic Sense or Cosmic Consciousness. These are synonymous terms for the Oneness used in this book. Dr. Bucke was himself a recipient of this trans-human state of consciousness.

The subjects in his study came from all walks of life: religious leaders, writers, poets, philosophers, mystics, a Catholic priest, a businessman. Fourteen of the forty-nine subjects exhibited definite signs of Inner Light illumination. They are: Gautama the Buddha (Buddhism), Jesus the Christ (Christianity), Muhammad (Islam), St. Paul of Tarsus (considered the greatest apostle of Christianity), Plotinus (ancient Egyptian philosopher, founder of Neoplatonism), Dante (Italian poet), Bartolome Las Casas (Spanish aristocrat), John Yepes (St. John of the Cross), Francis Bacon (considered the writer of the Shakespeare plays and poems), Jacob Behmen (the Teutonic Theosopher), William Blake (English poet, engraver, painter), Honore De Balzac (French novelist), Edward Carpenter (British writer), and Walt Whitman (American poet).

Sketchy or questionable written evidence on the other subjects made a conclusive determination of bonafide illumination impossible yet important enough to include in the book. Some noteworthy individuals in this group are: Moses (Hebrew lawgiver), Socrates (famous Greek philosopher, teacher of Plato), Lao-tsze (Chinese Taoism), Isaiah (Hebrew prophet-Old Testament), Blase Pascal (French writer), Benedict Spinoza (Dutch-born philosopher), Emanuel Swedenborg (Swedish Christian theologian-scientist-engineer), William Wordsworth (English poet), Ramakrishna Paramahansa (Hindu saint), Henry David Thoreau (American writer).

Dr. Bucke discovered 13 shared characteristics among those who exhibited signs of Oneness or Cosmic Consciousness. Quoting from his book, they are:

"1. THE SUBJECTIVE LIGHT. The person, suddenly, without warning, becomes aware of an unmistakable Presence or Higher Power. It could take several forms, including but not limited to, a flame, rose-colored cloud, or a blazing inner light.

2. THE MORAL ELEVATION. At the same instant, the person is bathed in an emotion of joy, bliss, assurance, peace, triumph, liberation, intense thankfulness. There is an overwhelming feeling that no special salvation is needed, the scheme upon which the world is built being itself sufficient. It is this feeling of sacred ecstasy about which poets write.

3. THE INTELLECTUAL ILLUMINATION. The person experiences an intellectual illumination quite impossible to describe. In a flash there is presented to his consciousness a clear conception (a vision) of the meaning and drift of the universe. It is not a belief; the person sees and knows that the cosmos which seems to be made up of dead matter is in truth a living presence.

The person sees humanity for what it is--souls within a human body in an infinite ocean of life. He sees that life within the body is eternal, as all life is eternal; that the Soul of man is as immortal as the Creator is; that the universe is built and ordered for all things to work together for the good of each person and the benefit of all; that the foundation principle upon which the world rests is what we call love, and that the happiness of every individual is in the long run absolutely certain.

The person will learn in a few minutes or seconds more than what months or years of study can teach, and will learn much that no study can ever teach. This awakening of the intellect strikes to the origin of existence, and brings an immense knowledge of the Whole that dwarfs all conception, imagination, speculation. Old attempts to mentally grasp the universe and its meaning become petty and even ridiculous.

4. THE SENSE OF IMMORTALITY. Along with moral elevation and intellectual illumination comes an indelible sense of immortality. This is not an intellectual conviction, but an experience of the Soul's true nature.

5. THE LOSS OF THE FEAR OF DEATH. With illumination, the fear of death which haunts so many men and women at times all their lives falls off like an old cloak--not as a result of reasoning--it simply vanishes.

6. THE LOSS OF THE SENSE OF SIN. It is not that the person escapes from sin, but he or she no longer sees that there is any sin in the world from which to escape.

7. THE SUDDENNESS, INSTANTANEOUSNESS OF THE AWAKENING. This is one of its most striking features. It can be compared to a dazzling flash of lightning in a dark night, bringing the landscape which had been hidden into clear view.

8. THE PREVIOUS CHARACTER OF THE MAN--intellectual, moral and physical.
This is an important element in the case. The person must have good health, a good physique, exalted moral nature, strong sympathies, a warm heart, courage, strong and earnest spiritual or religious feeling.

9. THE AGE OF ILLUMINATION. Average age seems to be around thirty-five to thirty-eight; some earlier, some later. Dr. Bucke believes the younger the age, the greater potential exists for the person to grow into a spiritual giant. (Author's note: this depends upon a person's purposes of incarnation).

10. THE ADDED CHARM TO THE PERSONALITY. It is believed that Cosmic Consciousness confers additional charisma on a person that strongly attracts both men and women.

11. THE CHANGE IN APPEARANCE OF THE PERSON. Dr. Bucke finds sufficient evidence that while Cosmic Consciousness is actually present, a change takes place in the appearance of the subject which can be seen by others. He attributes the change to a great infusion of joy (and bliss). In the great cases in which illumination is intense, the change is also intense and may amount to a veritable ''transfiguration.'' Such was the case of Jesus on the mountain, witnessed by the apostles Peter, James and John-''and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light'' (Matt. 17:2).

12. ADDED CONSCIOUSNESS. Awakening to a new level of super-consciousness (Oneness) instructs and teaches the person without any new experiences or process of learning.

13. ADDED FACULTY. At the same time, the person acquires enormously increased powers of accumulating knowledge and of initiating action. This leads to originality, unconventionality, keen insight, sympathy, courage, boldness.''

The Sinless Reality

The following text is published in my book that is copyrighted. No part of this text may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without written permission from the author.

There is a state of being that exists within you that is sinless, fearless, changeless, eternal, and holy. It has always been there, even if you don’t recognize its Presence. It’s with you now, and will never leave you. It has no name, yet many names are given to it.

There is nothing you can do to change this truth: at the core of your existence is a state of being that is sinless and changeless, for you did not make this truth. There is nothing you can do to avoid this truth, even though you think you can. It cannot be known through book study, or anything outside yourself, yet once known, you will learn much that no study can ever teach.

This state of being is fearless. Fear or negative qualities do not exist in it. It is omnipresent (everywhere at once), omniscient (knows everything), all-powerful and its essence is Unconditional Love. And, it radiates a Light unlike any you have ever seen before.

This sinless state of being can burst upon your awareness in a most gentle and loving way, suddenly, and without any warning. When it does, a person becomes aware of an unmistakable Presence that could take several forms, including but not limited to, a flame, rose-colored cloud, or a blazing inner light. The recipient is bathed in joy, bliss, assurance, peace, triumph, liberation, and intense thankfulness. There is an overwhelming feeling that no special salvation is needed, the scheme upon which the world is built being itself sufficient. It is not that the person escapes from sin, but he or she no longer sees that there is any sin in the world from which to escape.

In a flash there is presented to one’s consciousness a clear vision of the meaning and drift of creation. It is not a belief. The person sees and knows that creation which seems to be made up of dead matter is, in truth, a living Presence. The awakening of the intellect strikes to the origin of existence, and brings an immense knowledge of the Whole that dwarfs all conception, imagination, and speculation. Old attempts to mentally grasp the universe and its meaning become petty and even ridiculous.

This flash or sudden vision that bursts upon one’s awareness is known by many names in different religions and cultures. Christianity calls it mystical union with God. Hinduism calls it samadhi, and Buddhism calls it nirvana. I call it Oneness. It is the doorway to the end of the dream that you are human having a spiritual experience, and it is the beginning of living the truth that you are Spirit living a human experience.

This state of being is your real identity. Pray unceasingly for it to reveal itself to you. Pray to experience yourself as radiant Light and boundless Love. Pray to the Indwelling Spirit to end the dream of illusion that you are not God. Be very thankful that your essence or real identity is as described in this post, and not something different. Have a great Thanksgiving Day.

Dogma Is Meaningless

The following text is published in my book that is copyrighted. No part of this text may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without written permission from the author.

Transfixed in the revelation of Light and Love, when the mind’s eye becomes single and you behold the quintessence of Oneness, the concepts of dogma and doctrine are meaningless. You discover they have no intrinsic value, and never did.

In Webster’s New World Dictionary, the definition of dogma is a doctrine, a tenet, belief, especially a body of theological doctrines strictly adhered to. The definition of doctrine is tenet, dogma, something taught, especially as the principles of a religion, political party, etc. To me, both definitions refer to belief systems.

Some Catholic dogmatic beliefs are fear-guilt-shame based beliefs. E.g., the dogma of sin (which I’ve spoken about in other posts). Calling yourself a sinner and/or allowing someone else to call you a sinner is a guilt-shame based behavior, and over time, it has its consequences that contribute to low self-esteem and low self-worth in the individual that eventually needs to be healed to restore the individual to optimum spiritual health.

Another Catholic dogma and doctrine is if you intentionally miss Mass on Sunday (or at the appointed day), you commit mortal sin, and if you die with mortal sin on your soul, you go straight to eternal hell. Again, this is complete nonsense. It’s so completely ridiculous that it’s laughable.

A whole system of merits and demerits has been created (sacraments, penance, tithing) in an effort to “save” the individual from eternal hell fire damnation. But, the end result of this direction has created a fear-guilt-shame-based belief system of rules that has developed into direct opposition to the loving nature of Oneness.

Dogma and doctrine do not exist in Oneness, and our belief or disbelief in them are not necessary to our spiritual growth. At best, they are religion’s attempt to align itself to God’s true nature of Love, and provide a structure for the truth seeker. However, we must always remember, they are only opinions, and as such, we are not obligated to follow them or accept them as truths. The realization of Oneness irrevocably confirms the fact that the path to God is Love-based, and not by a system of beliefs, which may or may not be developed on Love-based truths. We can perform the sacraments if it makes us happy, and feel closer to God, but they are not necessary or important for the individual to develop a happy, personal relationship with God, or to find and know Oneness.

What is important is learning to live a Love-based lifestyle in thought-word-deed in our personal life, family life, job or career, and in our relations with others. This is probably the greatest challenge in our lives. Love is what attracts the conscious awareness and presence of God into your life because Love is your truth essence. You cannot escape your real identity.

Eternal Hell Does Not Exist

The following text is published in my book that is copyrighted. No part of this text may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without written permission from the author.

When you experience the powerful, radiant, loving Light of Oneness, as I did, when it bursts forth in all its radiance and glory, when your heart is filled with unspeakable joy and bliss, when your whole being is flooded with Unconditional Love, and all fears and illusions melt away like ice on a hot summer day, then you realize the concept of eternal hell is meaningless. It simply does not exist in Unconditional Love, which is your true nature. And, what does not exist in Unconditional Love, what was not created in Love, simply does not exist. The dogma of original sin and mortal sin and eternal hell are fear-based concepts that have no existence in Unconditional Love. Sin does not exist. There is no sinner, and there is no eternal hell to become a permanent resident. Unconditional Love does not condemn its own.

Jesus said, “If thy eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of Light.” (Matt. 6:23) He was talking about the moment of Oneness. Love’s traveling partner is Light. You won’t find one without the other. In Oneness, in Love and Light, in the mind’s single eye, you discover there is nothing to be saved. You are not a sinner, and you don’t need to be saved. And, the idea of eternal hell is ridiculous. Original sin and mortal sin are meaningless because Eternal Love did not create them. It is a central theme of a fear-based dogma, and a religion of control. Eternal hell does not exist because Unconditional Love did not create eternal damnation. It simply does not exist.

If what I’m saying is true, then a question arises: Why does our religion continue to teach the dogma of sin, original sin, mortal sin, eternal hell, and going to confession to get back into God’s grace? I’ve asked this question for years, and still haven’t reached a worthy answer. Has the religion turned into a religion of control? It’s possible to keep control of people if you teach fear. But, if it has become a religion of control, what does it hope to gain? For me, this question is so perplexing that I’ve put it on the shelf, and have turned my attention to a more serious question.

Ponder this. The more serious question to answer, I believe, when one realizes this whole system of sin and eternal hell does not exist is: If you believe your true identity is Unconditional Love, and eternal hell does not exist because it is a fear-based concept, and Love does not create fear, and you don’t have to fear going to hell for eternity, and you have all the freedom in the world to create the life you want, then what is your purpose on Earth? If you are created in a Love-based truth, and you are living in human form, then why are you here?

It’s best if you stop calling yourself a sinner, stop believing in the dogma of sin, and begin focusing on knowing yourself as a powerful, radiant being of Light and Love. And, learn to know your purpose on Earth, and get busy achieving it. You’ll be much happier.

Sin and Sinner Do Not Exist

The following text is published in my book that is copyrighted. No part of this text may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without written permission from the author.

When you stand in the powerful, radiant, loving Light of Oneness, as I did, when it bursts forth in all its radiance and glory, you behold the Love essence of your life – your Inner Self – the God within you. Your heart is filled with unspeakable joy. All your fears melt away, and concepts such as right and wrong, good and evil, death, sin, and all negativity are obliterated. You stand face-to-face with the Supreme Presence in your heart. You see and feel your “original” state of being – a sinless perfection of pure consciousness, serene tranquility, brilliant radiance, pristine creative-intelligent Unconditional Love. In the joyful light of Oneness, Eternal Hell and Sin are meaningless. They simply don’t exist. There is nothing to save. To put it quite boldly, Unconditional Love does not condemn its own.

This truth (original state of being) is very important to understand because its opposite (original sin) forms the premise of the most fundamental dogma of Christianity and Roman Catholic religion. If it wasn’t for the dogma of original sin, Western religion would have no excuse for its current existence. Ponder this. If there was no sinner to save, what purpose would there be for Christianity or Roman Catholic religion? Without its dogma of original sin, the religion would have to transform itself to survive, and its only logical strategy for long-term sustainable existence is to teach the truth of original state of being. For original sin is a fear-based dogma, and original state of being is a Love-based truth. Which do you want to live? It’s your choice.

In the Bible (Genesis 1:27), we read man and woman are made in the image and likeness of God. Does not this passage refer to one’s original state of being – a sinless perfection of pure consciousness, etc? Have you ever asked yourself what this passage means: made in the image and likeness of God? Have you ever contemplated your original state of being? The truth is so awesome to realize that due to our religious brainwashing we might not want to accept the truth or even consider it. But, the changeless truth still remains, in spite of what we think about it: we are the Love essence of Unconditional Love with all the powers of a Christ. This is what the life of Master Jesus demonstrated. It’s time we begin to let go and heal from the idea that we are not God.

Oneness - The Authority for My Message - Part 1

The following text is published in my book that is copyrighted. No part of this text may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without written permission from the author.

On a sunny spring morning, shortly after I arrived at work, a headache came on. I felt dizzy, light headed, and couldn’t understand why because I rarely got headaches. Rather than use aspirin, I chose a technique I learned from a minister at a non-traditional church. “Close your eyes, and gently lift them upwards to the point between the eyebrows,” he said. “Then gently massage the forehead in a circular motion with your fingertips. Think about the headache, and it should dissolve away.” A radical solution, I thought, but I tried it and it worked. Surprised and delighted, I went back to work, but the headache returned almost immediately. So, I tried the remedy again, and that’s when my life changed forever.

A brilliant light suddenly illuminated the darkness in my mind. It was as if a huge searchlight blazed through the center of my vision, like an extraordinarily brilliant full moon suddenly bursting forth into the night sky. I gasped and physically felt the breath rush out of my lungs. A wave of energy rushed up my spine. As I observed the vision, fear dissipated into astonishment, astonishment into childlike wonder. Where there was darkness, there was now inner light. White light. I couldn’t understand it, and I couldn’t deny it.

Once the acknowledgment had taken place, I enjoyed an experience of endless pure pleasure. A full range of indescribable bliss and joy swept over me like waves on a beach. No sense of striving or competition remained. There was no lack of anything. The yearning for greener pastures was gone. I felt everything had been accomplished; nothing more was to be done. I had come home. Fear ceased. In fact, all negative qualities were gone, annihilated. This caused an overwhelming sense of relief. Into the void came perfect contentment, profound peace, an overpowering sense of infinity, eternity, immortality, unity, liberty, freedom, oneness. It felt as if the whole of creation was contained within the Light, and I belonged to the Presence of it.

I witnessed a splendor I had never seen before, a vision of awesome power and magnitude. I looked on serenely. It was an opalescent white light, perfectly circular, like a communion host at Catholic Mass, surrounded by a deep blue background.

The Light was contained within the circle, and did not radiate into the blue. Its edges were razor sharp, making an unmistakable contrast of white Light against deep blue. The Presence of the Light manifested supreme intelligence, and was mysteriously alive. Its center palpitated ever so lightly to the rhythm of my heartbeat. It displayed three distinct qualities: Supreme Power, Ineffable Love, Radiant Intelligence. My eyes were still closed, yet the upper room within my forehead was filled with the Inner Light.

It was not a harsh light like the noonday sun. it was like soft lighting, up close. It filled my entire inner horizon. I responded mentally, “Oh! Is that the answer! You are so beautiful!” Indeed. No beauty in this world exists that surpasses the Presence of the Inner Light in the mind’s eye. It is the Answer that answers all questions.

There within my forehead, my mind, beamed an outrageously bold brilliance, hauntingly familiar to me. I felt we knew each other, like we had been introduced and became great friends a long time ago, yet became separated somehow. This was our reunion. For the first time in my life I knew what it felt like to be utterly free, to feel ineffable joy, and to be in the presence of unconditional Love.

I’d never seen anything so pure or perfect. Like a luminous radiance blazing in the morning dawn above the earth’s horizon, a pure shining sun glistened in my consciousness. It was the most exquisite splendor I have ever witnessed – beyond compare. Words fail miserably to describe it. No language has been devised yet to help me properly portray its potency and significance. I was witnessing evidence of a higher Intelligence, a Source that did not make me feel sinful, subservient or inferior – rather an equal, a partner. It was the ultimate in sharing.

As I gazed at its lustrous beauty, a pearl of absolute purity and wisdom, I felt like I was being drawn into its Presence, merging with Divinity Itself as if in a sexual union, supremely more gratifying than sex could ever be. I felt naked before it, as if it could read my every thought, knew my every secret, yet welcomed and accepted me with open arms as I was, regardless of all my faults and weaknesses. It was pure love.
